Pharmetheus AB is happy to announce two significant events, highlighting its capacity and future ambitions. The company has organically grown its team past 100 employees, and is relocating its headquarters to a sustainability flagship in central Uppsala, allowing for an easy commute for the employees and its global clients. CEO, Peter Milligan, reflects on the development:
– When I joined Pharmetheus in 2019, my mission was clear: to manage our growth in a way that would expand and amplify the range of services we provide.
More than a hundred
A critical mass of skilled modelers, data programmers, QC/Medical Writers and system developers, positions the company to meet complex needs of multiple clients. With more than 100 on the team, there is enough capacity to deliver across various project sizes and scopes, without compromising quality, the very core of the business.
Peter Milligan explains:
– It’s not about having over 100 team members, even if size does matter to an extent. It is about the diversity of expertise we can provide to clients. We can offer a broad range of expertises in therapeutic areas such as oncology, respiratory, and inflammatory diseases, along with a growing research and development team, we are positioned to offer robust fit for purpose support to our clients.
Pharmetheus serves global pharmaceutical clients with modeling and simulation services throughout the product lifecycle. The services reduce uncertainty in research and regulatory questions, and increase confidence in the development of new medicines.
The aspiration is to be more than a service provider – to be the partner of choice.
– Working in partnership means we support our clients’ growth, and in return they challenge us to better anticipate their needs. Through collaboration we are more likely to overcome these challenges together and to seize the opportunities presented by new discoveries, methods, modalities and applications, says Peter Milligan.
HQ relocation
The new headquarters is within walking distance of Uppsala Central Station allowing the company the opportunity to host and organize larger networking events, of which the first on the new premises is the Stockholm-Uppsala Pharmacometrics (SUP) fall meeting on October 10, themed “Semi-mechanistic models developed based on PK and/or PD data”.
– We are thrilled the organizing committee has chosen our office for their fall meeting. Relocating has been on our agenda for some time, as we outgrew our current premises during the COVID-19 pandemic. With this transition to a spacious, modern office in a prime central location, we aim to accommodate clients and employees.
LUMI business complex
About the office building
The building itself has received attention in construction and architect communities for being a construction project focused on sustainability, with 80 percent recycled building material, refurbished furniture and interiors. It is a rebuild of an old building, where the ambition has been to re-use as much of the material as possible, and also to keep the use of new material to an absolute minimum. Tenants have committed to using refurbished furniture and are dedicated to the mission of a low environmental footprint.
