Description

As a Pharmetheus R&D Scientist you perform research and develop new methods, ways of working, templates, tools, training workshops, and are responsible for the scientific content dissemination internally and externally through publications, tutorials, oral communications, and workshops. You report to the Chief Research Officer (CRO) and work closely with the Platform Scientific Leads.

Your role

As a R&D Scientist you will be responsible for:

Identifying new methodologies to address current and future drug development challenges (e.g., unlock new types of data, cope with timelines, deliver robust results), plan, perform and deliver R&D projects:

  • perform feasibility analyses and scope R&D projects,
  • develop new methods,
  • develop and maintain ways of working associated with existing and new methods,
  • develop and maintain templates for the reporting of analyses,
  • develop and deliver scripts and/or packages to implement new methods,
  • develop training material and train Pharmetheus consultants and clients with existing and new methods,
  • write and publish scientific papers/tutorials to disseminate Pharmetheus science.

Depending on your previous experience the role could also include:

  • supporting our Client Operations function with scientific and technical advice, feasibility analyses and lectures.

Your skills and qualifications

You are a skilled modeler with a Ph.D. in pharmacometrics, biostatistics, engineering or similar, with a strong interest in innovation, methodology and technical challenges.

You have a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work collaboratively.

For this role, good communication skills and pedagogy are necessary.

Technical skills

Being an advanced user in NONMEM and R is required.

Experience in the development of Machine Learning algorithms is an asset to support the Pharmacometrics platform.

Location: Uppsala, Sweden (preferred) or Paris, France. Remote is an alternative depending on your seniority.

Employment: Full-time.
