Workshop: (R)TTE modeling – theory and NONMEM implementation

This workshop provides hands-on training in TTE and RTTE modeling using NONMEM, focusing on survival analysis, event timing in clinical trials, exposure-response relationships, and simulation frameworks for informed drug development.

Overview

This workshop introduces the fundamentals of TTE and RTTE modeling, focusing on both theoretical foundations and practical implementation in NONMEM. Participants will explore data structuring, model coding, graphical evaluation, and simulation techniques. Through hands-on exercises, attendees will gain valuable experience in applying TTE/RTTE models to clinical development.

Workshop goals

Provide a strong foundation in pharmacometric principles and practical applications of TTE/RTTE modeling using NONMEM.

Workshop learning objectives

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

  • Scope (R)TTE analyses from a drug development perspective
  • Understand, conduct, and communicate TTE and RTTE modeling analyses
  • Gain hands-on experience with data formatting, graphical exploration, and NONMEM coding
  • Learn to apply survival analysis and exposure-response relationships in modeling
  • Utilize efficient simulation frameworks for TTE/RTTE models

Key topics covered

  • Time-to-event (TTE) and repeated TTE (RTTE) modeling fundamentals
  • NONMEM implementation of survival analyses
  • Data formatting and graphical exploration
  • Exposure-response modeling and covariate analysis
  • Simulation frameworks and model evaluation

Target audience

Knowledge of modeling and/or statistics, with a basic understanding of the overall drug development process. No special software installation is required.

Workshop requirements

Participants should bring their own laptops with the required software installed.
